PSILOCYBE CUBENSIS

"Psilocybe" comes from the Greek words psilos (bare) and kube (head); literally, "bald head". These mushrooms have been in use for millennia, and are even depicted in cave paintings.

The main active chemicals in Psilocybe cubensis are psilocybin and psilocin (related to tryptamine). These chemicals closely resemble the neurotransmitter serotonin.

Fans of Psilocybe cubensis describe its effects as enhanced visual qualities, euphoria, and spiritual visionary experiences. It has been a preferred psychedelic since pre-history. The trip typically lasts 4 - 6 hours.
